Program Information
This program is a 7-week online Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) group led by Dr. Chris Earle
CBT-I is a specific therapy designed to reverse chronic insomnia. It is the most effective treatment that exists for insomnia and is recommended by multiple medical guidelines. CBT-I improves sleep in a lasting way and has larger benefits for sleep than sleeping pills.
While the program does not specifically require stopping sleeping pills, participants have found it helpful in decreasing reliance on medications for sleep or for stopping sleeping pills entirely.
Sessions are held Thursday nights 7:00 pm online using Zoom for Healthcare.
There is no cost for participation in the group, treatment is covered by MCP. Physician or Nurse Practitioner referral is required.
During the program, follow the program outlined in the book “Sink into Sleep” by Judith Davidson. The group meets weekly to discuss the assigned readings, share experiences, and troubleshoot problems that arise over therapy.
Participants are recommended to have a copy of Sink into Sleep (2nd edition) by Judith Davidson (ISBN: 9780826148155) before the program start date.
Program materials (handouts, schedules, sleep logs) will be provided in digital format.
